Websites for people who'd rather be running their business

I design, build, and look after websites for small businesses and independent people. You get a fast, mobile-friendly site, and I handle the updates.

All American Black Belt Academy

Karate · San Ramon, CADrag the slider to compare before and after

Traditional Shitō-ryū karate for kids and adults. I redesigned their old site with a cleaner UI, and added a password-protected section for the written test for each student's next belt. Students get the password from their sensei in class, which saves the dojo time.

Side project · Data

A personal project, because I love karate competition and data. I compiled men's and women's kata results from the 2024–25 WKF season and used my MIS skills to make them easy to explore for any karate fanatic like me: sortable tables, per-athlete and per-kata breakdowns, medal tallies, and charts.

FAQ

Common questions

What's included in the monthly fee?

Website hosting, unlimited changes made quickly, keeping your domain connected, and fixing any problems that come up.

What counts as an update, and how quickly do you make changes?

Any change you want is included. Send it to me rather than editing the site yourself. I make small changes within 3 days and bigger ones within 5 days.

How long does it take to build a new site?

I can usually build a website within a week of you asking. It depends on how big a site you want.

Who owns the website?

You own your domain name, business name, logo, and the photos, videos, and business information you give me. I own the website's design and code, including its layout, styling, and site files. As long as our agreement is active and your payments are up to date, you have permission to use the website.

Do you handle the domain name and business email?

I handle the domain name for you. If you already own a domain, you keep paying for it, and I move it over and connect it to your new site. You handle your own business email, so I never see anything confidential.

Do I need to provide the text and photos?

No. I can write the text and find photos online. If you want specific photos used, send them to me and I'll add them. I can add videos too.
